Mumbai (Anil Bedag): Adding a dose of horror to the festive season, the film Jhaadphoonk is attracting viewers on OTT following its release on JioHotstar on October 30.
The horror-suspense film has climbed to the second position on the platform, behind the English film Obsession, while securing the number one spot among Hindi films, according to the film’s promotional update.
Set against the backdrop of mysterious forests and a frightening house, the film unfolds through strange incidents, chilling sequences and unexpected twists. Its suspense-driven narrative keeps viewers engaged as the story moves through a series of unsettling developments.
The film features Yashpal Sharma and Sumbul Touqeer Khan in prominent roles. Padmini Kolhapure adds to the cast with her screen presence, while Harsh Rajput and Apratim Singh also contribute to the narrative.
Produced under the banner of Neev Entertainment India, Jhaadphoonk is directed by Rajan Ramgopal Varma. Shailesh Parihar is the producer, while Vrinda Brahmbhatt serves as co-producer.
With its mix of supernatural elements, suspense and performances by an experienced cast, Jhaadphoonk has emerged as one of the Hindi horror offerings attracting attention on JioHotstar during the festive season.
